Job Summary
The sales engineer is to drive sales and business development for building chemicals and related products. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and providing technical sales support to customers within the construction and industrial sectors.
Qualifications
& Experience
- Bachelor’s
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management,
Chemical Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum
of 5 –10 years’ experience in sales of building chemicals or
construction-related products.
- Strong
understanding of construction materials and building chemical
applications.
- Proven
track record in sales and business development.
- Excellent
communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability
to read construction drawings and project specifications is an added
advantage.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
Key
Responsibilities
- Promote
and sell building chemical products including waterproofing
solutions, concrete admixtures, sealants, adhesives, coatings,
repair mortars, flooring systems, and related products.
- Develop
and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants,
developers, architects, distributors, and project owners.
- Identify
new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the
assigned market.
- Conduct
product presentations, technical demonstrations, and client
meetings.
- Prepare
quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
- Provide
technical advice and product recommendations based on customer and
project requirements.
- Monitor
project progress and ensure proper product application and customer
satisfaction.
- Achieve
assigned sales targets and contribute to overall company growth.
- Conduct
regular market surveys and monitor competitor activities.
- Coordinate
with internal departments to ensure timely product supply and
delivery.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates.
