DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Generation & Revenue Growth
- Identify, prospect, and close new sales opportunities within the construction sector to meet or exceed monthly targets.
- Prepare quotations, follow up on leads, and negotiate effectively to drive consistent revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, hardware stores, and individual clients.
- Provide excellent pre-sales and after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Market Development & Intelligence
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and monitor competitor activities.
- Provide regular feedback to management on market trends, pricing, and customer needs.
Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Promote company products through site visits, networking, and marketing campaigns.
- Represent the company professionally at meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Maintain proper documentation of sales, client records, and payment follow-ups.
Coordination & Operations Support
- Liaise with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Follow up on deliveries and resolve any order-related issues promptly.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in any field (Business-related field is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales and marketing, specifically in construction materials.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Good understanding of the construction market in Nairobi and surrounding areas is an added advantage.
