Job Description/Requirements
Department: Sales & Marketing
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of adhesive products and their applications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers. This individual will be responsible for driving sales, identifying new business opportunities, and meeting sales targets in their designated region.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Sales Growth and target achievement
i. Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets for adhesive glue products.
ii. Develop new business opportunities by identifying potential customers and markets.
iii. Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.
iv. Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting, product presentations, negotiations, to closing deals.
2. Customer Relationship Management
i. Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
ii. Offer product expertise and technical support to customers regarding adhesive applications and solutions.
iii. Develop personalized sales strategies to meet the unique needs of clients in industries such as furniture manufacturing, construction, Hardware distributors and more.
3. Product knowledge and demonstrations
i. Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in the adhesive industry.
ii. Present product demonstrations and training sessions for clients to help them understand the product benefits.
iii. Recommend appropriate adhesive products for specific applications based on customer needs.
4. Market Research & Competitive analysis
i. Monitor competitors’ activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
ii. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and new product opportunities.
iii. Analyse customer feedback and propose new product improvements or features.
5. Sales reporting & Documentation
i. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.
ii. Prepare and submit regular sales reports detailing progress toward sales targets, market trends, and potential growth opportunities.
iii. Work closely with the sales team and senior management to align strategies and goals.
6. Collaborative
i. Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and the products offered.
ii. Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to represent the company and its products.
Education:
● Degree/Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
● Technical background or knowledge in adhesives or a related field is a plus
Experience:
● Minimum of 2 -5 years of sales experience, preferably in the adhesive glue, paint, wood board or Hardware and construction industries.
● Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
● Experience with B2B sales and a strong understanding of the adhesive industry and its applications is a plus

● Depending on experience and skills, our company offers a monthly salary range from Ksh 40,000 to Ksh 80,000 for Sales Representatives, both at the regional and national levels.
