DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership and School Development

·       Develop and implement the school’s strategic vision, improvement plans, and long-term development goals.

·       Drive a culture of academic excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

·       Monitor school performance and use data to guide strategic decision-making.

·       Represent the school professionally and promote its vision, values, and reputation.

 Academic Leadership and Curriculum Management

·       Provide leadership in the delivery and development of the Cambridge International Curriculum.

·       Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and student achievement.

·       Monitor academic performance and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes.

·       Ensure curriculum policies and practices meet Cambridge International requirements.

Teaching and Learning Excellence

·       Establish high expectations for teaching quality and professional practice across the school.

·       Promote student-centred learning, innovation, and effective use of educational technology.

·       Lead academic reviews and support continuous improvement in classroom practice.

·       Encourage collaboration, professional learning, and reflective teaching approaches.

 

Staff Leadership and Development

·       Recruit, develop, motivate, and retain high-performing academic and support staff.

·       Establish effective performance management and professional development systems.

·       Build a positive, collaborative, and inclusive school culture.

·       Develop leadership capacity and succession planning within the school team.

Teaching and Learning Excellence

·       Establish high expectations for teaching quality and professional practice across the school.

·       Promote student-centred learning, innovation, and effective use of educational technology.

·       Lead academic reviews and support continuous improvement in classroom practice.

·       Encourage collaboration, professional learning, and reflective teaching approaches.

 Student Welfare and Safeguarding

·       Ensure student wellbeing, safety, and safeguarding remain central to school operations.

·       Promote an inclusive environment that supports academic, social, and emotional development.

·       Oversee pastoral care systems, student support services, and extracurricular activities.

·       Maintain high standards of student behaviour, discipline, and engagement.

Parent and Stakeholder Engagement

·       Build strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community stakeholders.

·       Maintain clear and effective communication throughout the school community.

·       Develop partnerships that enhance student opportunities and school growth.

·       Represent the school positively within local and international education networks.

Financial and Resource Management

·       Support budget planning and ensure effective allocation of school resources.

·       Monitor operational efficiency and promote financial sustainability.

·       Identify opportunities for investment and improvement of school facilities.

·       Ensure resources support the school’s academic priorities and strategic objectives.


KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

·       Degree in Education or related field with a recognised teaching qualification.

·       Proven leadership experience in a Cambridge International School.

·       Strong knowledge of Cambridge International Curriculum and assessment frameworks.

·       Experience managing academic teams, school operations, and improvement initiatives.

·       Advanced qualification in Educational Leadership, School Management, or related field.

·       Experience leading international schools in multicultural environments.

·       Experience with accreditation processes and school inspections.
