Job Description/Requirements

The employer is a leading provider of commercial real estate and warehousing (Property Management), has exciting opportunity for highly skilled and resourceful candidate with at least 5 years’ relevant experience to fill the above position.

Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Property Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the security operations of the organization by protecting the company’s physical assets against theft or damage, developing and enforcing security policies and procedures for achievement of the business objectives.

The key deliverables for the position include but not limited to:-

● Executing the departmental processes and procedures in line with the departmental strategy.

● Developing and monitoring security policies and procedures.

● Ensure adequate security measures are in place to protect the Company’s premises and staff through management of security service providers.

● Oversee installation and maintenance of security gadgets and apparatus to safeguard employees and premises.

● Managing and monitoring outsourced security service providers to ensure performance in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).

● Overseeing accident response planning and investigation of security breaches, contributing to disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches deemed necessary.

● Managing intelligence and assessing security risks to enhance security measures and advise the business as appropriate.

● Maintaining an up to date databank of security incidences, trends and reporting for management information and action.

● Managing security audits to identify possible threats and recommend preventive measures.

● Identifying, implementing ad benchmarking best practices in the security profession.

● Implementing product and service quality, customer excellence and change initiatives to achieve desired business performance and culture.

Academic Qualifications

● Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology/Social Science/Security Administration

● Must have computer application skills.

● Membership to International Security bodies is an added advantage.

● Previous experience in the Police force will be an added advantage.

Competence/ Experience required

● Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Security in commercial business set up.

● Experience using relevant technology and equipment e.g. CCTV

● Policy interpretation and implementation.

● Internal controls and risk management

● Performance reporting & budget administration.

● Communication and interpersonal skills
