Duties/responsibilities:  

  • Senior account (business development) executive main responsibility is to generate new business for the company by proactively identifying, targeting, and converting leads into clients.
  • This is a results driven role focused on hunting for new opportunities, cross selling, expanding company client base, and driving revenue growth in a competitive insurance market by performing the following responsibilities; identify new business opportunities and expand client base through prospecting and networking:- actively searching for potential clients through cold calls, industry connections, social media, or referrals, by constantly building networks.
  • Seeking out chances to introduce the companys services and convert interest into new business.
  • Market growth and strategic channel development:- responsible for driving market expansion through the acquisition of new individual and group business via both direct and broker channels.
  • This includes building strong, strategic relationships with brokers to secure profitable business with high conversion rates, while also developing and managing direct business opportunities to support long term, sustainable growth.
  • High networth client development and pipeline management:- identify and cultivate strong relationships with local high networth decision makers to support the growth of the organisations insurance products and services. Maintain an active and well structured business pipeline to ensure consistent lead generation, client engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans in alignment with company goals:- actively work towards the achievement of budgeted and allocated group sales targets developed together with the organisations leadership and driven by the business development unit.
  • This shall include identifying priority market segments and developing strategies to improve outreach and sales conversion.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with underwriting, claims, and customer service teams; closely working with other departments within the organisation to ensure client service is optimal by engaging with claims and client service teams to resolve customer issues, and ensuring smooth communication and customer satisfaction. Identifying new opportunities for product enhancements based on everchanging market dynamics, customer feedback, and data driven insights, for the organisations consideration.
  • Analyse market trends and customer feedback to improve product offerings and sales approaches:- monitoring industry trends and gathering client feedback to inform product development and enhance sales strategies.
  • Recommending adjustments to offerings or methods to maintain a competitive edge and better serve customer needs.
  • Mentor junior sales team members and support onboarding and development initiatives:- providing guidance and training to team members, helping to build their skills and knowledge.
  • Playing an active role in onboarding new hires, ensuring alignment with company processes, products, and performance expectations.
  • Represent the company at industry events and client engagements:- representing the organization in external settings such as industry events, client meetings, and public engagements.
  • These interactions reflect the companys values, professionalism, and expertise, helping to build trust, strengthen relationships, and enhance the overall reputation of the business.
