Position: Senior Associate, Human Capital Excellence

Level: Mid-level

Salary: 70,000 – 80,000 Gross


Reporting to the Head of Human Capital Excellence, the ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring HR operational excellence across a fast-paced, 24/7 multi-line production environment.

The successful candidate will manage the full employee lifecycle for site-based staff—including staffing, performance management, and industrial relations—while overseeing administrative functions like welfare and facility services.


Academic & Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration.
  • Mandatory Certification: CHRP certification or Higher Diploma in HR Management, plus a valid IHRM practicing certificate.

Experience

  • 3–5 years in HR/Administration, ideally within a large-scale manufacturing or FMCG environment.


Technical Skills

  • Hands-on proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and automated attendance systems. Experience with SAP HCM is desirable
  • Proven ability to manage industrial relations and lead diverse teams in a high-pressure, 24/7 setup.

Responsibilities & Requirements

1. Site HR Operations & Lifecycle Management

  • Execute the full employee lifecycle on-site, including recruitment coordination, structured onboarding, contract renewals, and exit management in alignment with HCE standards.
  • Directly oversee time and attendance systems, managing complex shift scheduling, overtime tracking, and absenteeism to ensure 24/7 production continuity.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and coordinate performance management cycles, including probation reviews and annual appraisals.

2. Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances and disciplinary matters, ensuring resolutions are handled in strict accordance with Kenyan labor laws and company policy.
  • Champion on-site engagement and welfare initiatives to enhance morale, productivity, and the overall employee experience.
  • Collaborate with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) teams to maintain high standards for employee and contractor welfare.

3. Administrative & Facility Oversight

  • Manage essential staff welfare facilities, including the on-site canteen, transport coordination, and general staff amenities.
  • Coordinate office administration and facility requirements, including stationery, access control, and visitor management.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers for site-level administrative support.
