The Senior Credit Officer oversees credit management, debtor reconciliation, and compliance within the healthcare unit. Main Purpose of the Job
- Oversee credit management processes including collection, collation, and reconciliation of financial transactions related to revenue, debtors, and credit accounts.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial and credit management reports at branch level.
- Act as custodian of Finance SOPs, policies, and processes, ensuring implementation and compliance
- 📌 Main Responsibilities
- Accurate recording and completeness of all credit-related financial transactions in ERP daily.
- Daily reconciliation of cash, cheque, and credit collections, including posting banking transactions.
- Maintenance and monthly reconciliation of debtors’ ledgers.
- Finalization of outpatient and credit invoices.
- Preparation and sign-off of journals for unit credit transactions.
- Allocation of debtors’ receipts and reconciliation of accounts.
- Audit and monitoring of patient billing, ensuring corrective actions where necessary.
- Leading credit-related stock-taking and financial control exercises.
- Preparation and maintenance of monthly branch credit and fixed asset registers.
- Completion of monthly financial closing procedures and trial balance sign-off.
- Preparation and circulation of monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, DebtorAging, Cost Management Reports).
- Preparation and control of quarterly/annual budgets with focus on credit management.
- Planning and coordination of cost management initiatives.
- Managing unit audits and liaising with Internal Audit to ensure strong internal controls.
- Ensuring compliance with financial governance, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Training, motivating, and evaluating staff in the credit/cashiering section.
- Managing supplier and debtor relationships in line with organizational SOPs.
- Ensuring superior customer experience for both internal and external clients.
- Any other duty assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.

🎓 Academic & Professional Qualifications
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA (K) or ACCA qualification.
3–5 years of relevant experience in credit management or accounting.
Desirable:
Membership in CPA K or ACCA.
Experience in healthcare or service industry.
