ABOUT THE COMPANY

Safaricom, Ltd is a leading mobile network operator in Kenya. It was formed in 1997 as a fully owned subsidiary of Telkom Kenya. In May 2000, Vodafone Group Plc of the United Kingdom acquired a 40% stake and management responsibility for the company. Safaricom employs over 1,500 people mainly stationed in Nairobi and other big cities like Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and Eldoret in which it manages retail outlets. Currently, it has nationwide dealerships to ensure customers across the country have access to its products and services.

JOB SUMMARY

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or related field.Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field preferred.Minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Management or Business Partnering roles.Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership teams and executives.Strong knowledge of organization design, workforce planning, talent management and change management practices.Experience operating within agile organizations and transformation environments.Strong understanding of workforce analytics, talent intelligence and skills-based workforce models.Commercial and business acumen with ability to link people outcomes to business performance.Professional HR certification such as IHRM, SHRM-SCP, CIPD, HRCI or equivalent preferred.Strong stakeholder management, consulting, influencing and facilitation skills.Strong data, analytics and AI fluency with the ability to interpret workforce insights and translate them into strategic business recommendations.
