- Greet and assist customers in selecting wines, spirits, and related products.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide product knowledge, and make recommendations to enhance sales.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Address customer complaints or issues promptly, escalating when necessary.
- Receive, unpack, and check deliveries against invoices for accuracy.
- Organize stock, monitor inventory levels, and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Arrange displays and shelves to maintain an attractive and orderly presentation.
- Assist with stock rotation to ensure products are fresh and correctly labeled.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment at all times.
- Ensure proper storage of alcoholic beverages and adherence to safety standards.
- Support security measures to prevent loss, theft, or damage.
- Facilitate deliveries, including loading/unloading stock and restocking shelves.
- Support management with administrative tasks such as record keeping or reporting sales.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales and operational goals.
- Prior experience in retail, preferably in wines, spirits, or FMCG products
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Good inventory management and stock handling experience
- Knowledge of different types of wines and spirits
- Experience in merchandising and product display
- Ability to handle cash and maintain accurate financial records
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy retail environment
- Basic numeracy and organizational skills
- Responsible, reliable, and punctual
