- Precisely set up equipment and verify critical production parameters (temperature, pressure, alignment, and speed) before the commencement of each production run.
- Proactively monitor machine performance and production output in real-time to ensure optimal efficiency, accuracy, and minimal downtime.
- Conduct regular, systematic quality inspections throughout the production process, verifying chip placement, encapsulation integrity, and physical appearance.
- Promptly identify, document, and report any equipment faults, production anomalies, or material discrepancies to the maintenance and supervisory teams.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and legible production logs and operational records, ensuring full traceability of batches and machine performance metrics.
- Uphold strict compliance with all information security and confidentiality requirements, safeguarding sensitive customer data and production keys at all times.
- Rigorously adhere to established health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
- Actively minimize production waste through careful handling of raw materials (chips, tapes, plastic sheets) and precise machine calibration.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and routine equipment housekeeping, ensuring machinery remains in peak operating condition.
- Escalate quality deviations or security incidents immediately to the appropriate supervisor to prevent the release of non-conforming or compromised products.
- Actively contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency programmes, suggesting practical enhancements to reduce cycle times and improve yield.
- Education: A Bachelors Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in machine operation, production, or manufacturing roles, ideally within a high-precision electronics, semiconductor, or smart card manufacturing environment. Experience with pick-and-place machinery, die-attach equipment, or SIM/personalization processes is a distinct advantage.
- Mechanical Aptitude: A natural understanding of machinery, moving parts, and the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical or operational issues on the fly.
- Impeccable Attention to Detail: You can spot microscopic misalignments in chip placement or subtle changes in machine acoustics that others would miss.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to correlate machine parameters with product quality, identifying root causes of production deviations.
- Integrity & Security Awareness: An uncompromising attitude towards protecting sensitive production data and proprietary manufacturing processes.
- Patience & Methodical Approach: The ability to perform repetitive, precision-driven tasks without sacrificing accuracy or concentration over long shifts.
- Communication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills for reporting shift performance, logging machine events, and liaising with maintenance teams.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) for data entry, shift reporting, and recording production metrics.
- Machine Interface: Familiarity with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) panels, PLC controls, or basic production software interfaces is a significant added advantage.
- Operational excellence, strict process adherence, proactive fault-finding, effective time management, and collaborative teamwork.
