Job descriptions & requirements
ABOUT THE ROLE
Eisul Homes Ltd is building a private eight-bedroom residence in Kericho County. The superstructure and roof are complete and we are now starting the finishing works.
We are looking for a Site Foreman to run the site on the client's behalf. This is a client-side appointment: you are employed by us, not by the contractor. You control the materials we buy, you check the contractor's work, and you report to the client directly. Candidates who have only worked on a contractor's payroll should consider that carefully.
The role is continuous through to completion of the house, covering plastering and screeding, waterproofing, tiling, joinery, painting, second fix and external works.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Receive, record and control all materials on site, and keep a daily register of what comes in and what is issued
- Give the client advance notice of what must be ordered for the next stage
- Inspect work as it is done, against the agreed standard, and reject what does not meet it before the next trade covers it
- Hold the quality line on each trade: plaster and screed, tiling, joinery, painting and external works
- Send the client a short written report every week, with photographs
- Confirm work is genuinely complete before recommending any stage payment
- Keep a site diary, and keep the site clean, secure and safe
- Coordinate the handover between packages so one trade does not delay or damage the next
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Diploma in civil engineering, construction management, building technology or a related discipline
- At least five years on building sites, including two as a foreman or site supervisor on residential work
- A trade background in masonry, plastering or finishes
- Able to read architectural and structural drawings and set out from them
- Comfortable keeping written records and sending written reports, in English or Kiswahili
- A smartphone, and the habit of photographing work and sending it the same day
- Living in or able to relocate to the Kericho area. This is a site-based role, not a visiting one
TERMS
- Full time on site, Monday to Saturday, through to completion of the house
- Accommodation available on site at no cost
- The first month is a trial on both sides
Applications close Friday 6 November 2026.
