About Us
AO Solar Limited is a leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company specializing in high-quality solar energy solutions. We provide a supportive, non-micromanaged work environment that empowers dynamic professionals to thrive with minimal supervision.

Role Overview
As a C&I (Commercial & Industrial) Solar Sales Representative, you will drive business growth by identifying, pitching, and closing solar EPC contracts with commercial and industrial clients. You will manage the entire sales pipeline from initial prospecting through to deal closing while working out of your local city/region. Note that periodic travel to Nairobi will be required for company training sessions and monthly meetings.

Key Responsibilities
● Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify, target, and acquire high-value C&I clients (factories, warehouses, schools, hospitality, agricultural processing plants, etc.). Existing client portfolios/networks in the sector are a strong added advantage.
● Pipeline Management: Follow leads meticulously through the entire sales cycle—from cold outreach and technical discovery meetings to proposal development, negotiation, and contract signing.
● Reporting & Compliance: Accurately prepare and submit professional work plans and work summaries in line with company instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
● Technical & Commercial Advisory: Leverage your understanding of solar EPC systems to articulate technical and financial benefits (ROI, payback period, energy offsets) to business owners, CFOs, and facility managers.
● Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, and industry partners.

Qualifications & Requirements
● Citizenship: Must be a Kenyan citizen.
● Experience & Education: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in sales and marketing, with specific experience selling in the solar or broader EPC sector. Note: Hands-on experience and track record take precedence over formal degrees for this role.
● References: Must provide valid, verifiable professional references.
● Communication & Confidence: Exceptional communication, pitching, and interpersonal skills with high self-confidence.
● Digital Literacy: Must be digitally savvy, comfortable utilizing digital tools, and capable of strict adherence to company instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
● Autonomy: Highly self-driven, capable of working effectively with minimal supervision in a non-micromanaged environment.

What We Offer
● Base Salary: KES 35,000 per month.
● Commission Structure: A highly competitive, uncapped commission structure.
● Work Location: Based in your home region/city (Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, or Central), with travel to Nairobi for monthly meetings and training.
● Culture: A supportive, autonomous work environment with career growth opportunities within a fast-growing renewable energy EPC leader.

We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis. If you match the requirements and are eager to drive Kenya’s transition to clean energy.
