Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and driven Solar Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to support the design, development, and implementation of solar energy projects. The ideal candidate should have a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (Solar Option) or be actively working towards it. This role requires in-depth technical expertise in AutoCAD, electrical drafting, and solar photovoltaic systems, as well as a solid understanding of renewable energy technologies and borehole solarization.

Job Description/Requirements
Job Title: Solar Engineer
Reports To: Engineering/Technical Manager:
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop detailed solar photovoltaic (PV) systems including electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD and manual drafting tools.
• Perform accurate electrical line drawings and prepare comprehensive technical documentation.
• Conduct system sizing, load analysis, and component selection for off-grid, hybrid, and grid-tied solar systems.
• Evaluate and design borehole solarization solutions including pump sizing and system integration.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform system design and implementation.
• Prepare and manage engineering documentation, drawings, and bill of materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Analyze and interpret technical data, prepare reports, and manage performance metrics using Microsoft Excel and related data tools.
• Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and best practices in solar and renewable energy.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Solar Option preferred).
• Registered or in progress for Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in solar energy design and engineering.
• In-depth proficiency in AutoCAD and manual drafting.
• Proven experience in creating and interpreting electrical line diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV system components, design principles, and installation requirements.
• Working knowledge of borehole design, sizing, and solar pumping systems.
• Understanding of renewable energy system integration and sustainable engineering practices.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
