The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, monitoring and reporting on all project activities related to the sponsorship of the orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) supported in the programme.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Sponsorship Social Worker will be responsible for the following: Providing key essential services to the sponsored OVCs ensuring they are healthy, safe, educated and their families are stableCoordinating communication between sponsors and OVCs through timely submission of all correspondence requiredSponsors and stakeholders’ management through systems strengtheningSupporting sponsorship community-based projects within schools and communities such as through the provision of block grants and emergency relief projectsSupporting and strengthening the sponsorship alumni association QUALIFICATIONS: A degree in Social Work, Community Development or a similar fieldAt least 3 years of experience in community work – experience in managing sponsorship programmes will be an added advantageMature Christian who is supportive of the beliefs, calling and vision of Beacon of HopeStrong communication and interpersonal skillsResource mobilization skills will be an added advantageHighly organized and able to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of workStrong computer skills with a demonstrated ability to generate high quality reports
