Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Stores Manager to oversee inventory control, warehouse operations, and end-to-end stock management within a fast-paced packaging/manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for ensuring optimal stock levels (zero stock-outs, minimal excess), efficient receiving and dispatch operations, and seamless coordination.

Job descriptions & requirements

1. Maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring no stock-outs on critical materials no excess or obsolete stock accumulation

2. Implement and monitor stock control systems (FIFO/FEFO where applicable)

3. Conduct regular stock counts, reconciliations, and variance analysis

4. Drive inventory accuracy and reporting discipline

5. Monitor stock levels and trigger timely replenishment aligned to production and sales demand

6. Work closely with procurement and planning teams to ensure continuous material availability

7. Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels and reorder points

8. Manage relationships with local and international suppliers

9. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (procurement, production, finance) to ensure smooth stock flow and accountability

10. Follow up on supplier deliveries, timelines, and documentation

11. Oversee end-to-end import and export logistics, including Supplier coordination, Shipping documentation (Invoices, Packing Lists, BL/AWB), Clearing and forwarding processes

12. Oversee all receiving, inspection, and storage of materials

13. Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of finished goods and materials

14. Maintain proper documentation and system updates for all stock movements

15. Enforce warehouse organization, safety, and efficiency standards

16. Supervise packing operations, ensuring:

a. Accuracy of orders

b. Compliance with client specifications

c. Adherence to delivery timelines

17. Monitor and improve lead times for imports and dispatch operations

18. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost control

19. Generate and present inventory, stock movement, and variance reports

20. Track key metrics such as stock turnover, order fulfilment rates and lead times

21. Work with finance to ensure stock valuation accuracy and audit readiness
