Job summary

The Swimming Pool Instructor & Lifeguard is responsible for conducting swimming lessons for individuals and groups while ensuring the safety of all pool users. This role combines teaching swimming techniques with active lifeguarding duties, maintaining a secure, clean, and well-supervised aquatic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Swimming Instruction Duties

• Plan and conduct swimming lessons for various groups and skill levels (beginner to advanced).

• Teach water safety skills and swimming techniques.

• Assess participants’ abilities and provide constructive feedback.

• Monitor student progress and maintain attendance and performance records.

• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs, including children and special groups.


Lifeguarding Duties

• Actively supervise swimmers to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations.

• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

• Perform water rescues, CPR, and First Aid when necessary.

• Conduct regular safety checks of pool facilities and equipment.


General Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in the pool area.

• Inspect and report faulty equipment or hazards.

• Assist in organizing swimming events or competitions.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

• Provide excellent customer service to pool members and guests.


Required Qualifications

• Certified Swimming Instructor (from a recognized organization).

• Valid Lifeguard Certification.

• First Aid Certification.

• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.

• Knowledge of water safety regulation
