Overview of position

CTG is looking for a Recruiter to join our team in Nairobi The main objective of the role is to provide recruitment services to CTG's regional offices in Middle East & Africa.


Role objectives

  • To execute all staff planning & recruitment activities to ensure adequate, timely & compliant delivery of client services.
  • Responsibility for the CTG’s recruitment directives, administrative instruction, implementation of SOP’s, systems, standards & reporting structures for the company in all countries of service.
  • Take full accountability for the end to end recruitment of consultants for projects globally.
  • Develop & maintain strong working relationships with the respective in country & HQ management teams to ensure internal customer satisfaction.
  • Develop recruitment strategies including job posting optimisation, recruiting marketing channel development, job boards, digital advertising & outsourcing as required.
  • Implement & seek to improve on ‘best in class’ recruitment processes for sourcing, screening, vetting & deployment.
  • Maintain & develop an active database of pre approved candidates & develop potential recruiting pools (industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, etc.).
  • Play a key role in the mobilisation of new projects including trips to the field & management of large scale mass recruitment campaigns under strict time constraints.
  • Assist in planning for staff mobilisation globally.
  • Assist the digital team with suggestions & input on improvements to our HRMS platform (Tayo).
  • Provide support & advice during annual audits to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Provide support & assistance on bids & proposals to the business development team.
  • Support the Team Leader in running regular & periodic reports from CTG's HRMS system.
  • Headhunting for hard to place vacancies globally utilising company website & multiple media platforms including using various sourcing portals.
  • Able to conduct / deliver / prepare recruitment related training as & when needed
  • Other ‘ad hoc’ tasks as required.


Project reporting

This role has no team management responsibility.


Key competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or business management or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable relevant recruitment operations experience.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • S / He will be a great recruiter who can grow & develop the team & individuals within it.
  • A track record of devising & implementing innovative talent attraction & recruitment strategies.
  • The ‘hands on’ ability to source candidates utilising multiple channels & approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to integrate into a vibrant & sociable working environment.
  • Flexible & open to adapting to the changing demands of the business.
  • Highly collaborative & passionate about recruiting the best people.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, organise workloads & meet deadlines.
  • Experience in managing recruitment databases.
  • Good knowledge of recruitment tools, procedures & processes.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills in English (other language skills a benefit).
  • Comprehensive capabilities in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • The ability to work on own initiative & to tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility & adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks & to work extra hours to meet deadlines.

This role has no team management responsibility.
