Technical Sales Executive
Job summary
We’re growing and are looking for a talented, motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Technical Sales Executive with experience in the construction materials industry. The purpose of this role is to drive sales by promoting and selling construction materials to contractors, developers, consultants, and corporate clients.

Responsibilities
Sales and Client Acquisition:
- Drive sales of construction materials including ready-mix and precast concrete, cement, steel reinforcement bars, aggregates (sand & ballast), masonry blocks, roofing materials, tiles, paints, and plumbing products.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors, developers, engineers, quantity surveyors, and institutional clients.
- Target projects at tender, specification, and execution stages.
- Conduct cold calls, office visits, site visits, emails, and networking activities to generate leads.
- Track and manage leads through the CRM system to ensure timely follow-ups and high conversion rates.
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with regional construction activity and project pipelines.
- Conduct market research to identify upcoming projects and competitive activity.
- Execute product demonstrations, site activations, contractor engagements, and stakeholder forums to strengthen market presence.
Client Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers including project managers, procurement teams, site engineers, and developers.
- Conduct regular site and client visits to understand project progress, material demand, and emerging needs.
- Provide technical and commercial guidance on product selection, specifications, and application.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with internal teams including production, quality control, logistics, finance, and marketing to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Coordinate stock availability, pricing, order processing, delivery schedules, and after-sales support.
- Provide structured feedback on customer needs, product performance, and market requirements.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity and pipeline reports.
- Track sales targets and project forecasts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
- Provide market intelligence on customers, competitors, and pricing trends.
- Ensure contracts, pricing, and documentation comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Adhere to ethical standards, safety requirements, and construction
site protocols.
Customer Service and Relationship Management:
- Deliver high-quality customer service throughout the sales and delivery cycle.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain continuous communication with clients post-delivery and during project execution.
- Foster long-term partnerships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Up to 5 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in construction materials or building solutions.
- Proven experience working with contractors, developers, and construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, project workflow.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
