As a Technical Sales Manager you will Report directly to the Africa Sales Leader. You will have frequent engagement with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, Industry and Technical Services in the IFF Health & Biosciences EMEA organization. Your responsibilities: Full sales responsibility and technical support to current customers and prospects in the territory through direct sales to key customers combined with distributor management. Your mission will be to successfully support and develop sales activities of IFF enzymes portfolio through implementation of sales and marketing initiatives with the objective of increasing market share and return on investment (ROI), whilst adhering to best practice principles standard operational procedures (SOPs). Ability to understand the customer needs and bring new ideas and know-how to expand our revenue and Market Share in West and East Africa (Nairobi & Lagos). Training of distributors to develop and sustain their value selling capability. Proactive communication with distributors and customers. Builds and retains relations at all levels with customers and foster long lasting relations. Provides technical, marketing and commercial support to key direct customers to ensure they reach targets and deliver customer satisfaction. Evaluates on a yearly base the performance of assigned direct customers and distributors and defines actions and initiatives where needed to improve. Your ability to build and maintain existing and new customer relationships and maximizes customer satisfaction as well as customer understanding. Creates a reliable network in the different market segments and regions. Gathers and analyses market and competitor information. Communicates within the team and applies to manage assigned accounts. Achieve annual sales and gross profit targets. Prepare and update business & accounts plans for key direct customers and territory under his/her responsibility. Provide sales reports (visit reports and monthly reports). Provide forecast update on monthly basis in IP Tool used for the sales and operation process. Improve and deliver the Opportunity Pipeline in SFDC. Liaise with logistics (supply chain group and Customer Relations Department) and production to ensure proper and smooth supply to assigned direct customers and distributors. Work closely with Marketing, Category Management and Application to accomplish customer targets. Job Requirements Skills and attributes required Your Scientific Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or similar, or a Bachelor or Master at University Level in Economics / Business Science. We will rely on your 5-8 years of practical business experience in an international BtB environment (cleaning industry preferably). The preferred candidate will be proficient in customer facing experience. Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written. Other language is a plus. Team interaction is a must. You will be open minded and can change opinions based on new information; perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus as demands change. You will bring a good understanding of the benefits of commercial sustainability through biotechnology. Self-motivated and good self-leadership. Must have initiative, motivation, proactivity, be tenacious and positive Good team player. Familiar with Microsoft Office package, internet explorer. Any other IT tool will be appreciated.
