Purpose
As the Telesales Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of telesales representatives to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company. You will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to maximize sales opportunities, enhance customer relationships, and optimize the performance of the telesales team.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Team Management:
• Lead, motivate, and coach a team of telesales representatives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
• Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to enhance the skills and performance of team members.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, set objectives, and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
2. Sales Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market reach.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify sales opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align telesales efforts with overall business objectives.
3. Sales Prospecting and Lead Generation:
• Conduct outbound calls to prospect and qualify potential customers interested in our products.
• Identify and prioritize sales leads based on predefined criteria and target market segments.
• Respond to inbound calls, messages and emails generated by our digital marketing activities.
• Utilize effective sales techniques to capture the interest of prospects and schedule appointments for further discussions.
• Follow ups on quotations generated by the Retail and Wholesale Departments.
4. Product Promotion and Sales Pitch:
• Conduct discovery with all leads to qualify those leads and understand their needs.
• Present needs based product features, benefits, and value propositions persuasively to prospects.
• Customize sales pitches and solutions to address the specific needs and requirements of each customer.
• Overcome objections, handle rejections, and effectively negotiate terms to close sales and secure orders.
5. Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs, address inquiries, and resolve any issues promptly.
• Proactively follow up with existing and potential customers to promote products, upsell/cross-sell additional services, and secure repeat business.
• Ensure exceptional levels of customer service are delivered consistently to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Track and analyze key performance metrics such as sales conversion rates, call volume, and revenue targets.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing sales activities, achievements, and areas for improvement.
• Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and implement strategies to optimize sales performance.
7. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor the quality of telesales interactions, adherence to scripts, and compliance with sales guidelines.
• Identify training needs and implement measures to maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

i) Business Development; achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes for the team
ii) Relationship Management; customer retention, improved customer relationships and quality services to the existing clientele
iii) Compliance to departmental processes & Team Management routines
iv) Sales reporting; develop timely and accurate sales reports to facilitate decision making; and
v) People Management; develop a highly motivated Telesales team.
Academic and professional Qualifications and experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Construction or related subjects.
• At least six (3) years’ experience in a sales role in the manufacturing industry
