Ticketing and Tours Personnel
Job summary
Norine Forbes Safaris is seeking a Ticketing and Tours Personnel with at least one (1) year of hands-on experience in air ticketing and tour operations. The ideal candidate must be proficient in GDS systems (Amadeus or Galileo) and possess IATA ticketing knowledge. The role involves flight reservations, ticket issuance, itinerary planning, and customer service support for travel and tour clients.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Handle air ticket reservations, re-issuance, cancellations, and refunds using Amadeus or Galileo GDS
- Issue domestic and international flight tickets in compliance with IATA rules and airline policies
- Plan, cost, and sell tour packages, safaris, and travel itineraries
- Advise clients on flight schedules, fares, visa requirements, and travel regulations
- Coordinate with airlines, hotels, transport providers, and tour partners
- Maintain accurate booking records and client documentation
- Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after travel
- Resolve ticketing issues, schedule changes, and client inquiries efficiently
- Meet sales targets and contribute to business growth
- Minimum 1 year experience in ticketing and tours
- Proven working knowledge of GDS (Amadeus or Galileo)
- IATA ticketing skills (certificate is an added advantage)
- Strong understanding of airline fare rules, routing, and ticketing procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Computer literate (MS Office, email, booking systems)
- Experience in safari and tour operations
- Knowledge of international travel documentation and visas
- Sales or customer relations experience in a travel agency
