Job Summary:

Kararan Tours, a leading travel agency based in Kenya, is seeking a dynamic Tour Sales Consultant to join our team. As a key player, you’ll engage with clients, create personalized travel experiences, and promote our diverse tour packages. Your responsibilities will include handling inquiries, sales calls, email correspondence, creating itineraries, booking reservations, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a passion for travel, and a customer-centric approach. Relevant sales experience is preferred. Responsibilities:

1.Client Interaction and Sales:

•Handle travel inquiries via phone, email, social media, and online channels.

•Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to client queries.

•Understand clients’ preferences, interests, and travel requirements.

•Create and sell innovative tour packages tailored to meet individual and group needs.

•Follow up with potential clients to convert inquiries into bookings.


2.Product Knowledge:

•Develop an in-depth understanding of our tour packages, safaris, and excursions.

•Stay updated on travel trends, destinations, and industry developments.

•Educate clients about the unique features of our offerings.

•Prepare detailed itineraries for various destinations of interest.


3.Booking and Reservations:

•Handle reservations for flights, hotels, and tour packages.

•Maintain strong relationships with suppliers (hotels, airlines, etc.).

•Confirm bookings promptly and accurately.

•Reconfirm reservations as needed to ensure smooth travel arrangements.


4.Client Relations:

•Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.

•Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

•Provide pre-travel briefings to clients, including essential information about their booked services.

•Gather feedback after travel experiences to improve our services.


5.Sales Targets and Reporting:

•Work towards achieving sales targets set by the company.

•Keep accurate records of sales activities, inquiries, and conversions.

•Generate regular reports on sales performance and trends.


6.Collaboration:

•Coordinate with other team members, including transport, operations, and marketing.

•Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall customer experience.

•Participate in team meetings and training sessions.


Qualifications and Skills:

•Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

•Proven experience in sales, preferably in the travel industry.

•Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

•Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with clients.

•Proficiency in using booking systems and travel-related software.

•Passion for travel and a good understanding of popular tourist destinations.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).


Compensation:

•Base salary with commission on sales.
