Job summary
The Tours Sales Executive is responsible for driving tours revenue through structured selling, converting leads into confirmed bookings without compromising margin or operational integrity. This role owns the client relationship and conversion, not pricing construction or tour execution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Management & Sales Conversion
- Receive and qualify tour enquiries (FIT, leisure, groups) from the various sales channels i.e. email, WhatsApp, phone etc.
- Understand client objectives, budget ranges, and timelines.
- Segment enquiries (retail, corporate group, special interest etc)
- Drive enquiries to quotation stage and follow through to closure
Client Communication & Relationship Ownership
- Act as the single point of contact from enquiry to confirmation
- Present quotations clearly and professionally
- Explain inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions
- Manage expectations — no overpromising
Quotation Coordination (Not Costing)
- Translate client requirements into structured briefs for Product
- Receive priced itineraries from Senior Tour Consultants
- Review quotes for clarity and commercial sense
- Present alternatives where required (without discounting reflexively)
Margin Protection & Pricing Discipline
- Sell within approved pricing frameworks
- Avoid unnecessary discounts or “special favors”
- Escalate pricing exceptions through defined approval matrix – through reporting line i.e Tours Manager.
- Understand margin drivers per destination
Sales Follow-Up & Pipeline Management
- Conduct systematic follow-ups
- Manage objections using value, not price cuts
- Maintain accurate CRM records
- Track conversion ratios and booking velocity
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, Tourism or related Professional sales training is a plus
- Minimum 3–5 years in Tours sales (FIT / leisure / groups) or High-value consultative sales in travel or services
- Experience in a TMC or travel agency preferred
- Proven ability to sell complex, multi-component products Technical
- Strong understanding of Tour structures (FIT vs group)
- Pricing logic (costs, margins, mark-ups)
- Basic destination knowledge (UK, Europe, Middle East, USA)
- Comfortable using CRM systems Email + WhatsApp sales funnels, Structured quotation formats
