Job Description/Requirements

8 Positions
Location: Nairobi Metropolitan Area
Retainer Including Transport: KSh 20,000/month + Good commission per case (MinimumTargets apply)
Transport: Use of public transport required
Industry: Sanitary pads manufacturing & distribution

Key Responsibilities:
  • Present and introduce our sanitary-pad products to wholesalers; secure and onboard them as trade partners. Manage the wholesaler-to-duka chain: uplift product from wholesalers and ensure that it flows into dukas/retailers in smaller quantities to build the brand and drive secondary sales.
  • Drive retail volume via the dukas by ensuring products are available, well-displayed for
  • consumer visibility, and correctly priced.
  • Visit wholesalers and dukas frequently, monitor stock levels, reposition product where needed, follow up on orders and ensure uptake. This role also involves walking long distances in the field.
  • Monitor market activity: track competing products, pricing, availability at both wholesaler and retailer levels; report findings.
  • Report daily/weekly: number of wholesalers onboarded, orders secured, uplift volumes from wholesalers, number of dukas serviced, issues encountered.
  • Work with sales/marketing/supply/distribution teams to ensure the supply chain and logistics support the field activity.

Candidate Profile:
  • Very aggressive / proactive in trade development and order-booking, with strong field-sales experience (especially footwork in general trade or FMCG distribution).
  • Energetic and comfortable using public transport, being out in the field most of the time and walking long distances.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; able to engage wholesalers and dukas, build relationships and drive action.
  • Strong organisational skills: able to plan a route, manage orders, follow-up and meet targets.
  • Experience in FMCG/trade/distribution and general trade channel is preferred.
  • Based in or willing to cover the Nairobi Metropolitan area.
