JOB SUMMARY

Qualifications and experiencea) Master’s in Psychology/Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related fieldfrom an accredited and recognized university.b) Must be registered by the Kenya Counselling and Psychologists Boardc) Teaching experience at the university level will be an added advantage.d) Applicant must be prepared to pursue a PhD in the specified area of specialization.e) Registration of a PhD degree will be an added advantage.f) At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

a. To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.b. Designing, developing, planning, and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.c. Reviewing course content and materials regularly, updating when required.d. Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the development of research activities.e. Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.f. Seeking and participating in consultancies.g. Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.h. Dissemination of research outputs.i. Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.j. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description
