THE POSITION

We seek to fill the position of Machine Operator for our sister company J&I Consult with a suitably qualified and competent individual with operating and troubleshooting food packaging machinery experience.

The Machine Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest quality standards by ensuring that every product package meets high standards for taste, freshness, and presentation.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Set up and operate packaging machinery for roasted cereals with precision and efficiency.

ii. Monitor machinery during operation, making necessary adjustments to ensure smooth production.

iii. Perform quality checks on packaging materials and finished products to maintain high standards.

iv. Keep accurate records of production data, machine maintenance, and any incidents.

v. Troubleshoot and address minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.

vi. Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.

vii. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications:

• At least a craft certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• At least 1 year work experience as a machine operator, preferably in a food packaging company dealing in roasted cereals such as peanuts, beans, potato crisps etc.

The right person should have the following skills and competencies:

• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus.
