Duties/responsibilities:  

  • Warehouse and logistics manager main role is to efficiently manage warehouse operations, inventory control, order fulfilment, and fleet management (both internal and third-party), while optimizing costs and leading a high-performance team.
  • The role ensures the seamless flow of goods and services, driving timely deliveries, reducing wastage, and supporting the companys sales and profitability targets by performing the following responsibilities:- inventory management: Ensures daily cycle counts are conducted. Ensure physical stocks are matching with bin cards.
  • Ensure all goods received in the warehouse are captured into the sap system.
  • Manages the effective use of warehouse space, ensuring that goods are stored in an organized manner for easy access and minimal damage.
  • Cost management: Develop and manage the departments budget (foh). Implement cost-saving measures e.g. Time management, vehicle maintenance, route planning, ot management, leave management, traffic rules compliance and general operational compliance.
  • Pods management.accuracy in dispatch to avoid market returns and customer dissatisfaction. Otif.
  • Participate in demand/production/logistics daily planning meetings.
  • Do market returns analysis in collaboration with qc and come up with corrective action plan.
  • Route optimization -efficient transportation route planning to minimize cost and improve delivery speed.
  • Communication. Compliance and legal responsibilities: Ensures the warehouse and logistics operations comply with ehs guidelines.
  • Team leadership and development: Training and skills development- equipment handling, sap in collaboration with ict and safety protocol.
  • Employee engagement and motivation -incentives and activities to promote teamwork.
  • Develop clear roles and responsibilities to drive performance.
