We are an established travel agency operating for over several years in the travel industry. We seek to hire an experienced and expert Web developer and Web Designer who will be tasked with building a website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, developing everything from the home page to site layout and function. The work involved may also include further redeveloping and improving an existing Travel website based on our brief and technical requirements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
-Proficient understanding and proven experience of at least 1 year in web development.
-Demonstrable proficiency in HTML 5, CSS3 and latest version of PHP 7.0/7.1 Programming language.
-Demonstrable proficiency in PHP Frameworks such as Laravel.
-Expertise in WordPress infrastructure, installation of and customization of existing WordPress themes and plugins
-Proficiency with web development tools and libraries such as Bootstrap, JQuery and AngularJS etc. is an added advantage.
-Familiarity with basic JavaScript & Jquery programming and coding.
-Familiarity with basic Java 2 Enterprise Edition J2EE will be a bonus.
-Ability to develop for Responsive Design is mandatory.
-Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process.
-Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
-Strong data structures and algorithm design skills
-Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
-Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL.
-Basic skills in Graphic design such as photo optimization and editing using Adobe XD, Photoshop or Illustrator.
-Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
-Excellent verbal communication skills.
-Good problem-solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement new website designs for Mobile and Desktop versions of a new and existing Travel website to recognized web standards.
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing websites.
- To gather and document requirements for new systems or new functionality
