JOB SUMMARY

The Year 1 & 2 Class Teacher needs to:Be a fully qualified teacher with Key Stage 1 training and experience (QTS or have a valid TSC Certificate).Have experience of working in British Curriculum schools.Demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and families.Work collaboratively and build strong professional relationships with colleagues.Create a stimulating, engaging and supportive learning environment.Show initiative, flexibility and adaptability.Be proactive and enthusiastic, with a desire to be fully involved in all aspects of life in a leading preparatory school.Be punctual and use preparation time effectively.Communicate clearly and confidently with both adults and children.Demonstrate strong organisational skills.Show a competent standard of written English.Use ICT effectively in teaching; experience with interactive screens and iPads is an advantage.Provide a valid Police Clearance Certificate or International Certificate of Child Protection (ICPC).Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Keep up to date with educational developments in the UK
