JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTANT 
NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME
SALARY: KSHS.85,000-120,000
JOB LOCATION: WESTALNDS


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or local accounting standards.
  • Provide management with timely financial insights for decision-making.

Tax Compliance & Management
  • Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with statutory deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with all local tax laws and regulations.
  • Advise management on tax planning and risk mitigation.

Accounts Management
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Monitor cash flow and banking transactions.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy.

Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Track actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.

Internal Controls & Auditing
  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls to prevent errors and fraud.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Software & Data Management
  • Utilize accounting software to manage financial transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
  • Leverage Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, and financial modeling.

Advisory & Strategic Support
  • Provide insights on cost-saving measures and financial performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business decisions.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax compliance, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
