Job Summary

This is an entry level position in our accounting department. You will be joining a team of 3 to provide a client contact role

  • Minimum Qualification : Bachelors
  • Experience Level : Mid level
  • Experience Length : 2 years

Job Description/Requirements

Accounting

  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Ensure that records comply with laws and regulations.
  • Compute and prepare tax returns, V.AT., P.A.Y.E Income & Withholding Tax, ensuring timely payments.
  • Timely posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are up to date.
  • Ensure all statutory details are accurate and paid on time.
  • Processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to
  • legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
  • Reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
  • Update financial data in databases promptly to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings and reports.
  • Petty Cash Issuance and control and reconciliations.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts ensuring cashflow is sustained.


HR & Admin Responsibilities

  • Assist in onboarding new staff members.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Finance / Accounting/HR).
  • CPA Level 2
  • 2 years’ Experience working as accountant/ Human resource officer in an SME•
  • Knowledge in Accounting software, Wingubox
