- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in line with company policies and accounting standards.
- Ensure timely posting and classification of all financial transactions.
- Review supporting documents for invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial entries.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy of entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Generate management reports to support business decision-making.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and accounting schedules.
- Analyze financial data and highlight variances, trends, and areas requiring attention.
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports and accounting information.
- Manage supplier invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier and customer balances.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and support credit control activities.
- Process payments while ensuring compliance with approval procedures.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage petty cash transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Conduct supplier and sales reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and provide accurate financial updates.
- Ensure proper controls over company funds and financial resources.
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate employee payment records.
- Manage statutory tax requirements and compliance submissions.
- Prepare and submit relevant tax documentation through iTax.
- Ensure proper use and compliance with the Electronic Tax Invoice Management System (eTIMS).
- Maintain updated knowledge of accounting regulations and tax requirements.
- Maintain accurate records using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
- Ensure proper data entry and reporting within financial systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA (K) qualification or equivalent professional accounting certification is preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in accounting.
- Experience working in a busy food processing, manufacturing, or FMCG environment is highly preferred.
- Practical experience using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
- Experience handling payroll, iTax, and eTIMS processes is required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and accounting systems.
- Good understanding of tax compliance requirements and statutory obligations.
