- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including general ledger, journals, and subsidiary ledgers.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial transactions for audit and regulatory compliance.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly to prevent discrepancies.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and manage collections efficiently.
- Monitor daily cash flow and manage bank transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting to support operational decisions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost optimization.
- Provide management with actionable insights to support strategic planning.
- Assist in preparing departmental and organizational budgets.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and report variances.
- Support long-term financial planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare schedules and documentation required for external and internal audits.
- Implement recommendations from audits to improve controls and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain and optimize accounting software and Excel-based tools.
- Support digitalization initiatives and integration of financial systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and assist in their development.
- Serve as a key point of contact for finance-related queries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a busy accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
