Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd plays a key role in marketing of its member’s milk which is processed and packed in form of pouch packed fresh milk, Tetra Classic fresh milk, lala, butter, ghee and cream under the flagship of “Fresha Dairy Products”.

The society invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant position: Audit Senior
Job Purpose: Responsible implementing sound financial policies and internal control systems in line with general accepted accounting standards
Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Organizing audit teams for various audit assignments including audit planning, executing, directing, and completing audit assignments.
  
• Supervises junior audit staff assigned to engagements providing guidance and overall review of deliverables.
  
• Proactively interact with middle level management/supervisors to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
  
• Identifies and communicates issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk mitigation measures.
  
• Preparing specific audit assignment plans and audit programmes.
  
• Reviewing audit files and reports prepared by auditors working under him/her.
  
• Assisting in the preparation of periodic audit work plans.
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• University degree in commerce, accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
  
• CPA (K), or acceptable equivalents.
  
• Additional professional qualifications, i.e., CISA, CIA, and ACCA will be added advantage.
  
• Must have demonstrated ability to develop audit programs for the junior audit team he or she supervises.
  
• At least 5 years’ experience in the audit Internal Audit Function at supervisory level, 3 of which from an audit firm.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Leadership skills.
  
• Team player.
