The Company offers the full spectrum of motor insurance solutions with a focus on Motor Private, Motor Commercial, Motor PSV and Motorcycle classes in both Comprehensive and Third Party Only Cover.
As we celebrate this significant milestone and continue our growth journey, we are pleased to invite applications from motivated and qualified professionals to join our dynamic team in the role of Bancassurance Manager.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Bancassurance Manager is responsible for managing and expanding bancassurance partnerships to drive the sales of motor insurance products. The role involves working closely with partner banks to embed motor insurance offerings into their retail and financing workflows, ensuring high customer uptake and operational efficiency
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and grow bank partnerships to increase motor insurance sales through loan and retail banking channels
- Work closely with bank relationship managers and branch staff to train and motivate them on motor insurance offerings
- Develop and implement motor insurance campaigns aligned with bank financing promotions
- Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the bank’s customer base, especially at the point of vehicle financing
- Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize sales strategies and achieve performance targets
- Ensure smooth integration of insurance processes with bank systems e.g, policy issuance
- Coordinate with underwriting, claims and operations teams to ensure high service standards and faster TATs
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Conduct periodic reviews and presentations with bank partners on performance, opportunities and improvements
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or related field or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
Professional Qualifications
- Relevant Professional qualifications and membership to professional body recognized in Kenya
Experience
- 5+ years in insurance sales, preferably with a focus on motor insurance and bancassurance
- Strong understanding of motor insurance products and vehicle financing
Skills and Attributes
- Proven ability to manage bank partnerships and frontline teams
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills;
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools; knowledge of digital policy platforms is a plus
- Excellent leadership and people management skills;
- Good decision making and problem solving skills; and
- Abreast with existing and emerging information.
