Bar and Restaurant Supervisor
Job summary
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Bar & Restaurant Supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain high standards of service. The Supervisor will lead the team on the floor, implement operational procedures, and support the Manager in achieving the establishment’s goals.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Supervise daily operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service during shifts.
- Lead, train, and motivate staff, including servers, bartenders, and support personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Monitor stock usage and communicate inventory needs to the Stock Keeper or Manager.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for timely food and beverage delivery.
- Support the Manager in implementing service procedures and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate operational records, including shift reports, staff attendance, and incident logs.
- Assist in staff scheduling and shift planning to ensure adequate coverage.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in bar/restaurant operations or supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory and stock management.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
