Biology/Chemistry Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking a passionate and qualified Biology/Chemistry Teacher to join a reputable educational institution committed to academic excellence and holistic development. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction in Biology and Chemistry, fostering scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and practical laboratory skills among students.

Key Responsibilities:

 Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in English Language and Literature, aligned with
the school's academic curriculum.
 Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Biology and Chemistry, aligned with the school’s academic curriculum.
 Prepare and conduct practical laboratory sessions while ensuring adherence to safety standards and proper handling of laboratory equipment and chemicals.
 Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials that cater to diverse learning needs.
 Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, practical assessments, tests, and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
 Foster scientific inquiry and analytical thinking through experiments, research projects, and
interactive classroom discussions.
 Maintain accurate academic records and prepare performance reports as required.
 Participate in science-related co-curricular activities such as science fairs, clubs, and academic competitions.

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Biology and/or Chemistry
 Holds a valid TSC registration number
 Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience
 Strong understanding of the CBC curriculum
 Demonstrated ability to conduct laboratory practicals safely and effectively
 Excellent communication and classroom management skills
 Proficiency in using digital tools for teaching and assessment
