BRANCH MANAGER

Directline Assurance Company Ltd, which is regulated by the Insurance Regulatory Authority, marked its 20th Anniversary last year, having been licensed in October 2005. The Company offers the full spectrum of motor insurance solutions with a focus on Motor Private, Motor Commercial, Motor PSV and Motorcycle classes in both Comprehensive and Third Party Only Cover.

  As we mark this significant milestone, we are excited to invite applications from motivated and qualified Professionals to join our team in the role of Branch Manager

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To drive sales to meet company revenue targets and to harness the power of his/her direct reports, driving sales force productivity and extracting the best performance from each individual employee at the branch

Responsible for ensuring the branch team meet the sales targets set for PSV.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

2. i) Manage sales budgets and ensure sales targets are met.
   
3. ii) Work with internal departments such as the Underwriting, Legal and Investigation teams to engage customers more deeply and maintain positive client relations

• iii) Possess deep knowledge of business product offering and value proposition

2. iv) Follow organizational policies and regulations that affect the branch
   
3. v) Proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities
   
4. vi) Solve problems for clients and customers by developing innovative and tailored sales and operational solutions
   
5. i) Ensure accurate preparation, and timely submission of sales and marketing reports to management and the Board.
   
6. ii) Formulate and implement sales and marketing strategy

• iii) In-charge of product innovation and development of new products.

2. iv) Grow the business portfolio, oversee operation of marketing activities/programs, and development of marketing strategies in the company.
   
3. v) Periodically conduct external and internal business analysis to understand, and adapt to changing client needs
   
4. vi) Be a brand ambassador and reflect company values at all times through implementation of the company’s branding strategy to ensure Directline brand visibility.

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders
  
• Manage the branch and provide leadership to the team.

2. ix) Align the operations of the marketing with appropriate technology to increase operational efficiency.
   
3. x) Prepare periodic reports for sales to the management and Board.
   
4. xi) Any other responsibilities will be communicated to the Officer from time to time.
   

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Academic Qualifications

• 
  
• Degree in Insurance/Business Administration/Sales and/or Marketing from an institution recognized by Commission for Higher Education
  
• Minimum Overall Grade of C+ in KCSE
  

Professional Qualifications

• 
  
• Certificate of Insurance (COP)
  
• Certification in Insurance (ACII/AIIK) or any insurance related qualification will be an added advantage
  

Experience

• 
  
• At least 5 years’ working experience preferably in the insurance industry
  
• Experience in dealing with PSV will be an added advantage.
  
• Underwriting and risk management skills

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, presentation, report writing skills and marketing skills
