Job Description

Summit Recruitment & Search was established in to address the recruitment, mass recruitment, executive search, outsourcing and training needs of companies based in Kenya or wanting to enter the Kenyan, East African, South African and African market

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate effective self-leadership and collaboration with Client Partners, Business Delivery team, and clients to ensure the success of all initiatives. Formulate and implement a business strategy to meet sales performance targets. Create, manage, and execute comprehensive project plans for the successful onboarding of new logistics projects. Prepare quotations for warehousing, air, sea, road imports and exports worldwide. Negotiate with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and agents to get the best rates. Identify new business opportunities and new ways of reaching existing markets. Retain existing customers and win incremental revenue from them. Conduct regular sales visits to customers and produce follow-up reports. Collaborate with internal departments to always provide excellent customer service. Prepare and submit all tenders’ quotes and make effective follow-ups. Develop mutual business opportunities with associates in the region. Organize and represent the company at key networking events to raise the company profile. Analyze client performance and recommend enhancements for client success. Prepare monthly sales reports and carry out sales forecasts and analysis.

Qualifications

Relevant Bachelor’s degree. Must have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in business development in a clearing and forwarding company. Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities, and high emotional intelligence. Experience in account management, sales, business development, and/or customer success. Highly organized with robust project management expertise. Proven track record in project management and successful contract execution. Analytical prowess to evaluate data and recommend enhancements for client success.
