Position: Business Development Manager – BPO & Contact Centre Services
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Reporting To: Chief Operations Officer
Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new BPO clients across target local and international markets. This role requires strong prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and closing skills, while helping establish a scalable sales engine for the business.
Key Objectives
- Acquire new local and international BPO clients
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Position the company as a trusted outsourcing partner
- Close long-term, profitable contracts
- Support partnerships and brand growth
Key Responsibilities
- Lead generation, prospecting, and new client acquisition
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead to contract close
- Prepare proposals, pricing models, and RFP responses
- Deliver client presentations and negotiations
- Build strategic partnerships
- Coordinate with Operations for solution design and onboarding
- Maintain CRM pipeline and sales reporting
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- New clients signed
- Revenue closed
- Pipeline value
- Conversion rates
- Average deal size
- Sales cycle duration
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- 5–10 years’ experience in BPO or services sales
- Proven international sales experience
- Strong understanding of BPO pricing and SLAs
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Commercial and financial acumen
- CRM and pipeline management experience
- Ability to work independently in a start-up environment
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commissions, performance bonuses, and potential long-term incentives.
