Responsibilities:
Within delegated authority, the Calligraphy Specialist will be responsible for the following duties: Produces calligraphy work in welcoming Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives to the United Nations Environment Programme. Participates, as a specialist, in preparing calligraphy work for the Executive Office. Interfaces, as required, with the Front Desk to ensure a complete understanding of the assignment. Maintains a clean and well-organized work area, especially on the maintenance of Guest Books. Prepares guest books for committees and meetings/conferences to be held in Nairobi. Performs formatting and layout in line with protocol and calligraphy standards for input on print and written content. Compiles, summarizes and enters information on work delivery and drafts related status reports, and brings to the attention of management.Competencies:

Academic Qualifications:
At least a bachelor`s degree in any of the fields of communications, graphic design, public relations, protocol, business administration, or any other relevant field. Any additional qualification in in one of the above disciplines will be an advantage.Work Experience:
A minimum of five years of work experience in communications, public relations, or protocol affairs is required. Proven experience in designing and preparing calligraphy sign plates is required. Experience working in an international organization is desirable. Experience in interacting with a range of local, national and international partners is desirable.Important Safety Tips
