About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Company Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving meals for our employees, ensuring high quality and consistency. The Company Cook will also maintain a clean and organized kitchen, follow food safety guidelines, and support various kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve morning tea by 9:30 AM. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for all employees.. Ensure that all food is of high quality and meets our standards. Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including daily cleaning of fridges and microwaves. Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to management. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and inform the Office Manager when replenishment is needed. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes. Prepare coffee, other beverages, and snacks on special requests for guests as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a cook or chef in a similar role. A certificate in catering or equivalent qualification preferred. Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Ability to follow recipes and cooking techniques accurately. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as needed. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Experience in corporate or institutional food service is a plus. First Aid and Food Safety certification is a plus.
