DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with approved menus, recipes, and portion standards
• Ensure food is of high quality, well-presented, and served on time
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with health regulations
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas before and after use
• Assist with food preparation such as chopping, marinating, and pre-cooking of ingredients
• Monitor food stock levels and report shortages, damages, or expiries to the supervisor
• Minimize food wastage through proper storage, portion control, and handling
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef or Supervisor to meet operational needs
• Ensure proper storage of food items according to safety and temperature guidelines
• Assist in receiving and checking kitchen supplies for quality and quantity
• Comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and standard operating procedures
• Support kitchen operations during peak hours and special events

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the hospitality industry
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good time management and organizational abilities
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
