JOB TITLE: DRIVER

NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME

SALARY: KSHS.21,000

JOB LOCATION: DANDORA

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate company mini vans and light trucks safely and responsibly at all times
• Transport goods, materials, or personnel to assigned destinations within Nairobi and surrounding areas
• Ensure timely pickups and deliveries by planning efficient routes and adjusting to traffic conditions
• Observe and comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Nairobi routes, traffic trends, and alternative roads
• Use navigation tools, traffic updates, and personal route knowledge to minimize delays
• Communicate proactively with supervisors regarding delays, route changes, or emergencies
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections (fuel levels, oil, brakes, lights, tires, mirrors)
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness, both interior and exterior, at all times
• Identify and report mechanical faults, service needs, or safety concerns promptly
• Ensure the vehicle is serviced on schedule and comply with maintenance requirements
• Ensure the safety of passengers, cargo, and the vehicle at all times
• Secure goods properly during transportation to prevent loss or damage
• Follow company procedures in case of accidents, breakdowns, or incidents
• Maintain valid insurance, inspection stickers, and required vehicle documentation
• Maintain accurate daily trip logs, fuel records, delivery notes, and mileage records
• Obtain and submit signed delivery confirmations where applicable
• Report any incidents, damages, or traffic violations immediately
• Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, colleagues, customers, and suppliers
• Represent the company positively through respectful behavior and proper appearance
• Follow instructions carefully while demonstrating the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and client information

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving mini vans or light trucks
• Strong knowledge of Nairobi roads and traffic patterns
• Valid driving license
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Honest, dependable, and time-conscious
