- Safely transport the deceased, bereaved families, staff, and funeral equipment as scheduled.
- Ensure timely arrival and departure for funerals, hospital transfers, and related assignments.
- Plan efficient travel routes while adhering to traffic laws and company procedures.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical faults promptly.
- Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean, presentable, and roadworthy condition.
- Monitor fuel levels, service schedules, and maintenance records.
- Assist with the respectful loading and unloading of caskets and funeral equipment.
- Support the funeral team during burials, church services, and memorial events as required.
- Ensure all transportation activities uphold the dignity of the deceased and their families.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism when interacting with bereaved families.
- Provide courteous assistance while maintaining a calm and respectful demeanor.
- Represent the funeral home professionally at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations, company safety policies, and funeral service procedures.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
- Immediately report accidents, incidents, or vehicle-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records, and trip reports.
- Record fuel usage, maintenance activities, and transport schedules.
- Submit required documentation promptly and accurately.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients, funeral arrangements, and company information.
- Handle all assignments with integrity, discretion, and respect.
- Uphold the company's values and maintain high standards of personal grooming and professionalism.
- Minimum of 3 years professional driving experience.
- Valid Kenyan driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Defensive Driving Certification will be an added advantage.
- Excellent driving skills with a strong commitment to road safety.
- Compassionate, respectful, and professional when serving bereaved families.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
