DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transportation Services
  • Safely transport the deceased, bereaved families, staff, and funeral equipment as scheduled.
  • Ensure timely arrival and departure for funerals, hospital transfers, and related assignments.
  • Plan efficient travel routes while adhering to traffic laws and company procedures.

Vehicle Care & Maintenance
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical faults promptly.
  • Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean, presentable, and roadworthy condition.
  • Monitor fuel levels, service schedules, and maintenance records.

Funeral Operations Support
  • Assist with the respectful loading and unloading of caskets and funeral equipment.
  • Support the funeral team during burials, church services, and memorial events as required.
  • Ensure all transportation activities uphold the dignity of the deceased and their families.

Customer Service
  • Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism when interacting with bereaved families.
  • Provide courteous assistance while maintaining a calm and respectful demeanor.
  • Represent the funeral home professionally at all times.

Compliance & Safety
  • Adhere to all traffic regulations, company safety policies, and funeral service procedures.
  • Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
  • Immediately report accidents, incidents, or vehicle-related concerns.

Documentation & Record Keeping
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records, and trip reports.
  • Record fuel usage, maintenance activities, and transport schedules.
  • Submit required documentation promptly and accurately.

Confidentiality & Professional Conduct
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients, funeral arrangements, and company information.
  • Handle all assignments with integrity, discretion, and respect.
  • Uphold the company's values and maintain high standards of personal grooming and professionalism.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Minimum of 3 years professional driving experience.
  • Valid Kenyan driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Defensive Driving Certification will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent driving skills with a strong commitment to road safety.
  • Compassionate, respectful, and professional when serving bereaved families.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
