ECDE Teacher

JOB TITLE:          ECDE TEACHER

REPORTS TO:     HEAD OF SCHOOL

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To be responsible for accurately and efficiently managing a class and childcare duties following all guidelines as per plan.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

1. 
   
2. Submit and implement a well-developed and comprehensive lesson plan.
   
3. Ensure proper child guidance.
   
4. Conduct progress Continuous education assessment and file reports for children
   
5. Assist in feeding the children during meals.
   
6. Coordinate IEP plan with the parent to ensure effective child care and protection.
   
7. Reports on children in their class.
   
8. Foster healthy play for the children in her class.
   
9. Motivate the learners in her class to achieve set goals.
   
10. Recording of success stories articulating child milestones and progress records.
    
11. Identify the gaps in the children with special needs and formulate a plan to intervene.
    
12. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
    
13. Manage Organize, implement, coordinate, and control services of the childcare program.
    
14. Set up and maintain an organized and clutter-free environment safe for the children.
    
15. Supervise children at all times
    

Job Requirements – ECDE Teacher

• 
  
• Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) or a related field
  
• Experience working with children, preferably in a school or childcare setting
  
• Experience or interest in working with children with special needs is an added advantage
  
• Strong classroom management and child supervision skills
  
• Ability to develop and implement structured lesson plans
  
• Good understanding of child development and learning needs
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents.
  
• Good organizational and planning skills
  
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  
• High level of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism
