Role Summary
Magnolia Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Odoo ERP Implementation & Support Consultant to join our delivery team. This is a hands-on consulting role responsible for implementing Odoo ERP solutions for clients and supporting live environments after go-live.
The successful candidate will work directly with clients across the full ERP lifecycle —business process understanding, system configuration, deployment, user training, stabilization, and ongoing optimization.
This role is suited to consultants currently working (or previously working) with an Odoo implementation partner or ERP consulting firm, and not candidates with only end- user or internal IT system exposure.
Role Overview
The consultant will participate actively in ERP project delivery while also managing structured post-implementation support engagements. The position requires strong functional consulting capability combined with practical system configuration experience.
You will be expected to independently configure Odoo modules, guide users, troubleshoot real operational issues, and ensure successful ERP adoption within client environments.
Prior hands-on Odoo implementation experience is mandatory.
Core Responsibilities
1. Odoo ERP Implementation Delivery
- Participate in requirements discovery and business workflow discussions with clients.
- Translate operational processes into practical Odoo configurations.
- Configure and deploy Odoo modules including:
o Accounting
o Sales
o Inventory & Purchasing
o Manufacturing
o HR and operational workflows
- Configure users, access rights, approvals, products, taxes, and financial structures.
- Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Execute testing cycles and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Assist in go-live planning and provide structured stabilization support.
2. Post-Implementation Support & Optimization
- Manage functional support tickets within defined SLA timelines.
- Troubleshoot real operational issues in live Odoo environments.
- Perform root-cause analysis and provide sustainable resolutions.
- Recommend workflow or configuration improvements.
- Support system performance and long-term client success.
3. Configuration & Odoo Customization
- Deliver advanced configuration aligned with business workflows.
- Perform light customizations using:
o Odoo Studio (fields, views, workflows)
o Reports and document layouts
o Email templates and automations
- Prepare functional specifications for developer-led customizations.
4. Odoo.sh Environment Management
- Work within Odoo.sh across development, staging, and production environments.
- Support deployment coordination, testing, and configuration validation.
- Assist with database management and upgrade testing activities.
5. Client Training & Documentation
- Conduct structured user training and system walkthroughs.
- Support user adoption and operational transition to Odoo.
- Prepare implementation documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
- Maintain professional client communication throughout delivery and support.
6. Internal Delivery Collaboration
- Work closely with implementation consultants, developers, and support leadership.
- Contribute to internal delivery standards and knowledge base materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement of implementation methodologies.
Mandatory Requirements (Applications without these will not be considered)
- Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience implementing Odoo ERP.
- Experience working with an Odoo implementation partner, ERP consultancy, or system integrator.
- Proven delivery experience across:
o Manufacturing
o Inventory & Purchasing
o Sales
o Accounting workflows
- Practical experience with:
o Odoo Studio
o Odoo.sh
o ERP configuration and troubleshooting
o Data migration and system setup
- Demonstrated experience:
o Training users
o Providing post-implementation support
o Preparing functional documentation.
Preferred Profile
- Consultant comfortable working directly with multiple clients.
- Experience handling both implementation projects and support environments.
- Strong understanding of real operational business processes.
- Structured, analytical, and ownership-driven mindset.
