JOB TITLE: FARM HAND (POULTRY FARM)

NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME

SALARY: KSHS.10,000 + ACCOMMODATION & MEALS

JOB LOCATION: KAJIADO

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Feed poultry according to the set feeding schedule
• Ensure birds have constant access to clean water
• Monitor poultry health and report signs of illness, injury, or abnormal behaviour
• Assist in vaccination and medication of birds as guided by the supervisor
• Clean and maintain poultry houses, feeders, drinkers, and surrounding areas
• Collect, sort, and store eggs safely and hygienically
• Assist with record keeping such as egg production and feed usage (where required)
• Support stocking, de-stocking, and general bird handling activities
• Follow farm hygiene and biosecurity procedures at all times
• Maintain cleanliness to prevent disease outbreaks
• Properly dispose of waste and dead birds according to farm guidelines
• Use farm equipment responsibly and report any damage
• Carry out other farm-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
• Work cooperatively with other farm staff
• Be available for early morning, weekend, or holiday duties when required

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Form 4 Certificate
• Prior experience is an added advantage, training will be provided
• Physically fit, hardworking, and able to work long hours outdoors
• Honest, disciplined, and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to live on the farm and commit to long-term employment
