Finance AssociateLocation: Nairobi
Job Purpose: Talent Grid Africa, is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Finance Associate to support our finance and accounting operations. The successful candidate will assist in day‑to‑day financial tasks including invoicing, payroll support, bank reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial
reporting.
Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare, process, and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Record and post daily financial transactions in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho).
  • Assist in payroll preparation by gathering inputs, computing pay, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Support statutory deductions including PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, and filing requirements with KRA e‑TAX and related bodies.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations, ensuring differences are identified and resolved.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, accounts payable/receivable, and other ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and assist in filing statutory returns (e.g., PAYE, VAT, and other regulatory requirements) via KRA e‑TAX.
  • Maintain accurate records of statutory payments and deadlines.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and summaries for management review.
  • Support month‑end closing activities and assist in budget tracking and financial analysis.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing needed documentation.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting role (e.g., bookkeeping, accounting assistant, financial operations).
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Zoho (or similar accounting software).
  • Familiarity with KRA e‑TAX system and statutory requirements in Kenya.
  • CPA (Kenya) is a plus.
